The women handed out pins to the attendees at the banquet and felt tremendously loved and encouraged. It was wonderful to see so many people wearing their pins as they left for the evening.
Saying Goodbye to Joyce Williams
Evangel Home and Joyce have been together in a number of ways for almost 30 years!!! She has been our wonderful Volunteer Coordinator for 10 of those years, and when we threw a retirement party for her (June 23), more than 100 people showed up.
It was a great show of love and support. Thanks to Joyce for her devotion and to so many volunteers who came to honor her.
For all those who could not make it, we want to share the excitement, joy and festivities with you. Here are some of our favorite moments from Joyce’s retirement celebration:
Do you think these two like each other? Jeri Thuesen has been a volunteer and a board member and would not have missed the chance to say goodbye to her friend.
That’s Lisa Rae Tauszik on the left and Patty Lehman-Dykstra on the right. Lisa used to be our day care director and Patty was the office manager. They stopped by to wish Joyce well in her life after Evangel Home. They both had some good tips!
Board member, Myron Kooiman, presents Joyce with a gift of appreciation for her years of dedication. She is now going to do some world traveling.
More than 100 people came to honor Joyce, and it was a great party! Wish we could somehow have been able to take a picture of the conversation.
Joyce, we are incredibly thankful for you and thank God for all you have invested into Evangel Home. May the next chapter of your life be better than all the rest!
On behalf of the many, many lives you have touched,
Director of Evangel Home
